Why it is better than open reviews
Feedback attached to a completed order costs money to produce. Somebody wanting to manufacture a hundred positive entries has to run a hundred transactions, which is expensive and slow. That single property makes this data substantially more trustworthy than any open review system, where the marginal cost of a fake is zero.
The biases that remain

Reading around the skew
- Read the recent tail, not the average. The last stretch describes who is running the account now.
- Look for text, not scores. Written comments carry information a number cannot, including the hesitations people put in politely.
- Treat a perfect record as a small sample question. Ask how many orders it covers before treating it as strong.
- Notice sudden volume changes. A quiet account that becomes very busy is worth a second look in either direction.
- Compare dispute rate against volume, which is the one signal the biases above do not distort.
The honest summary
The feedback is genuine in the sense that it comes from real completed transactions, which is a meaningful guarantee that open reviews cannot offer. It is skewed in ways that all point the same direction, which is optimistic. Read it as a floor rather than a description, and remember it is the strongest evidence available on a small platform where there is less of it than elsewhere.
